Study in Poland

Find out more

Poland is a great country to study

Poland is affordable

You will find a wide range of courses at very affordable fee. Polish universities are prepared to accept foreign students, and the university cities offer not only a good learning environment, but also plenty of other attractions.

Old Education Tradition

The oldest Polish university – the Jagiellonian University in Krakow – was founded in the 14th century and is one of the oldest universities in Europe. And so our higher education has its roots in the Middle Ages!

EU Standards

Additionally today Polish education can be considered according to European standards. In almost every big city there are public and private universities – thanks to this our educational offer is very vast and rich. We are constantly adapting and enriching it. Diplomas gained in our country are recognized in other EU countries. They can be also more and more easily nostrified in the US, Canada and Australia. Studies in Poland will help you to increase your chances of getting a good job in the European Union and anywhere else!

Language English

You do not need to know the Polish language to be able to study in Poland. Knowledge of English, French or German is enough. Indian students can choose to study in English

Why Study in Poland ?

Quality Education in Poland

There are many universities in Poland which are constantly competing with each other – not only in terms of the quality of teaching and the diversity of the educational offer, but also in terms of the level of tuition fees. While studying in Poland, you can get an education of European standard for a reasonable price.

Polish universities implement the principles of the Bologna Process, thus contributing to the unification of the European higher education system. Thanks to this, after graduating from studies in Poland, you can continue your studies in another European country with a diploma obtained here.

Deciding to study in Poland, you choose from a wide range of courses, faculties and specializations, plus you have the opportunity to join the best universities. Polish IT students have twice become world champions in team programming, our astronomers and chemists are also world leaders.

Work in Poland Legally while studying

Student visa or Temporary Residence Permit in Poland gives you the right to take up employment legally. Students usually start with work in restaurants, hotel, shop, reception, pizza distribution or childcare. During your stay, thanks to gaining new skills in schools and learning Polish language you can count on a promotion at work.

Low living cost

Poland, although it has been a member of the European Union since 2004, it is still cheaper than in other European countries. When it comes to buying food, fresh fruit and vegetable, it is best to buy them at the market (in every city there is a market at least twice a week), other food products are usually cheaper in supermarkets and large shops and more expensive in local shops.

The Polish currency is the Polish zloty (zł, PLN). One zloty is 100 groszy (gr). There are 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 PLN banknotes in circulation as well as 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 groszy coins and 1, 2 and 5 PLN coins.

Poland's entry into the EURO currency zone is not known yet, it is still not clear whether this currency will be introduced.

Travelling around Europe

In Poland and Europe, you can work and travel at the same time during your holiday breaks. Here, students simply pack their backpacks and set off on their way. This is a very popular form of sightseeing called "backpack" by the natives.

Due to the freedom of movement within the Schengen area and the presence of cheap airlines in Poland (Wizz Air, Ryan Air), city breaks, i.e. weekend trips to other cities in Europe are ever more popular. It is a great and inexpensive way to visit Europe.
